Deviation Actions
Each round of the Patron Tournament will focus on one thing that is essential to being the Patron hero of Diesel City. Your character will not know what (s)he will need to do until they are given their assigned task.
ROUND THREE: A DARKENED METROPOLIS
Without warning, Diesel City has gone dark. The Council are not there to meet you in the Garden of the Patrons—instead, undersecretary David Meakes instructs you on their behalf to find the culprit in teams of two. Meakes suggests either the Riverrat Mob or the mysterious Four (perhaps in league with Davy McCracken, but that could be hearsay). Detective Liebgott speaks up from within the angry mob and suggests an alternative: that the Council themselves are behind it. The story is up for you to decide, now.
Prompt Two: The Fantastic Four

The Four are one of the best kept secrets in Diesel City. No one really knows who the four Supers who make up the shady team are, or at least they claim not to. The undersecretary claims that the Four are in cahoots with Davy McCracken, but all that could be hearsay.

Detective Liebgott claims to have information that puts the Council in hot water. If his claims are true, and the Council shut down the power, there could be consequences for the entire city. If you believe him, it's up to you to bring the Council to justice, even if it means tearing the City down from the highest brick.

The prompt for your audition piece is essentially simple: your character hears about the tournament to become the new Patron and applies.
How your character hears about the tournament is up to you. It could be over the radio, they could have been there when the announcement was made, maybe there are fliers up everywhere, or a friend told them. It’s a big city, there are plenty of different ways to get information. (Just remember that it’s 1931, there’s no such thing as television yet; but there are movie theaters...).
